Mapping San Francisco’s Natural Beauty

AN ART WORKSHOP

about–

Join me for an art workshop in the beautiful San Francisco Botanical Gardens where we will explore the art of storytelling through illustration. We will hone in on the “art of noticing” while I share my tips and process for how my art is informed by my experiences with the natural world.

During an observational walk in the gardens, we will gather inspiration to inform your own art and deepen our understanding of the nature we share in our urban home.

Afterwards, we will combine your observations to create a unique map of San Francisco, highlighting the city’s natural world and telling your personal story.

Each participant will get a hanging frame for their final art piece.

this is for you if…

  • have a curiosity for nature and art

  • you are a creative person and enjoy creative play

  • you have an art practice (or want to start one) and enjoy thinking through creative projects

  • you are curious about a new way of bringing nature into your work

  • your skill level is beginner to advance-this class is open to all!
